Friends for me are absolutely important. However, I won't treat every one be my friend by heart unless she/he treats me by heart too. I'm not an active guy. So, when somebody regards me as her/his friend, I will do that for her/him too. 

     But if there are somebody may not be worth to put your heart to, you needn't still look him or her as your good friends. Not everyone can be the good friend of you. You may not need to have lots of good friends but most intimate and understanding.
